long time...

hi everyone,

it's been a long time since I posted anything...as this site seemed to have acquired some technical snags...but today, it miraculously revived itself like the phoenix that rises out of its own ashes...here's a poem i had written quite a long time back...it was lying among the ruins of my past life in a diary..thought about getting others' opinion on it...hope u find it a poem.


WINTRY NIGHTS


Wearing dirt, i walk out into the black night...
Snake-like, the road curls before me, as i smile at the pale moon,
the foggy moon.....

I walk up, run through, butt in, the night...
Small delights, the touch of a warm hand...
denied....
The flame of a lame fire, the muddled blanket, the shivery night...
The dark night...

The cars whoosh past me, cuddled delights
Orange lights float through foggy moonlight..
Dances, couples, food, warmth, love, sex, wine, boozed minds...
Salted peanuts and roasted meat....their nights...

I lie on the footpath...cold, hungry, shivering...

It's my winter night....my christmas night...my poor night...

how do i start?

such are the vagaries of life that u end up changing urself. i never knew that i would be sitting here,typing, had it not been for aruni. never a techie kind of person, progress forces me to be so. invariably, u feel the power of writing and also forcing it upon others! and, surprisingly enough, i don't hesitate to say i m enjoyin it. let's say, one likes to be heard. and for the second time, thanks aruni, for initiating me into this field. we hope to keep on meeting. regards.
